Our Anandmayi Ma Ashram School has exerted a positive and uplifting influence on the children and entire community of Omkareshwar. Over the last ten years it has provided a free education for the destitute and neglected local village children. It has also founded the BRF Youth Club which extends its helping hand to the youth and parents of the area and has introduced an ecological consciousness through clean-up drives, massive tree planting projects and waste disposal options.

The ashram's women's group "Matri Shakti" has given the village women a voice to help solve thier problems, and independence and self sufficiency by training them in practical handicraft skills and projects such as cow protection dairies and free camps are being planned. We wish to thank Omkar Tours for helping in manifold ways by aiding the visitors coming from abroad to help in the school or visit the ashram in their travel arrangements, and for their ongoing financial input from the proceeds of their agency's work.
